Aortic morphological characteristics as predictors of outcome in Chinese patients

By: Henry Lee

Aim to identify the predictive role of aneurysm morphology in outcome of patients with ruptured AAA. Our experience showed that both EVAR (21.6%) and open repair (27.6%) had comparable 30-day mortality in patients with ruptured AAA. Maximum sac diameters were predictors of poor outcome in patients receiving EVAR, while neck conicality and CIA diameter were predictors of poor outcome in patients receiving open repair.
